Happy New Year
The New Year has begun, and it is typically time for extreme temperatures. Children may need heavier coats and hats for outside play. Check with your child’s teacher daily to see if they will be going outside.
For inclement weather, we typically follow Gwinnett County Schools for severe weather. We will publish school closings on our Face Book page, email, and the Remind message system. If you have not yet signed up to get updates through Remind:
Text @stmattspre to 81010 to receive Remind updates.
Reminder: Sick Policy
Thank you to the parents who keep their children home when sick or are exposed to Covid-19.
As a reminder: children should be kept home if they have any flu or covid symptoms: fever, chills, new cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, runny nose or congestion, sore throat, or headache.
They must be free from symptoms for 48 hours without fever reducing medication before they can return to school or longer if needing to be quarantined.
