About Us

St. Matthew’s Preschool & Kindergarten has served Snellville, GA, and the surrounding community since 1985.

Welcome!

Over the past several years we have grown from just a handful of students to more than 80 today. St. Matthew’s has grown to meet the needs of the community we serve. We strive to continue our original mission: to provide, a fun, loving, nurturing, and educational environment for preschoolers in our community.

We believe that child development is crucial during the preschool years, from the moment a child enters our one-year-old classroom until he/she graduates from our Kindergarten class. We strive to develop the “whole” child, including language skills, cognitive abilities, social/emotional maturation, fine and gross motor skills, and creativity.

At St. Matthew’s, children learn through play, arts and crafts, music and movement, circle and story time, and cognitive learning activities. Each class focuses on age-appropriate learning and skills.

Our Teachers

Almost all our staff members are parents of St. Matthew’s “graduates” or have a child currently enrolled here. We have a vested interest in making sure the teaching at St. Matthew’s is top-notch. In addition to having “hands-on” parenting experience, our teachers also complete continuing education training every school year, to stay up-to-date on the newest ideas and trends. We want your child to stay healthy and safe at St. Matthew’s, so every staff member is CPR and First Aid certified.

Can’t say enough great things about this school! The staff are so kind and courteous and always available. They have a personal relationship with each kid and really make it a fun place to go to school. My child loves it and is so excited to ‘school day’! Simply an amazing school!
